Anyone else’s 2 year old kinda behind on words?

My son can say 5 words. Hi, whee, yay, quack quack, and I forgot what the other one is. He has yet to say momma or dadda. Hopefully he will be saying it soon. He doesn’t know his numbers or alphabet yet either. Working on animal sounds.

I feel like mine is she says some of the same stuff plus one and two, I see, cow, and baby. She says dada and daddy but stopped saying mama

My son only says up and mama and dada. He signs a few things and knows the alphabet sounds of most letters but that’s it

My pediatrician said my daughter was behind on speech so I started talking to her 24/7 about any and everything and she’s talking nonstop now. I also play miss Rachel for her. That helped my cousins son who was also not talking much.

My son says Dada mama yah yah and oh. No animal sounds or alphabet. He is in Speech therapy 1 day a week. My MIL and mom both tell me he's not really behind considering he's not even 2 yet. These days it feels like they rush Littles to hit milestones earlier then back then. 🤷‍♀️ I try not to worry. He'll get there on his own time frame. But it's hard not to compare to others his age and feel like I'm failing him sometimes since he's not at the same stage as them😞 hoping soon he'll catch up with Speech Therapy help. 🙏

my baby is only able to say “momma” he’s currently in speech therapy

@Kim see that’s how I believe I got my daughter to talk. But I’m in a hard situation to where they both are at their grandparents a lot and I know he’s not being talked too barely by anyone there.
