I had a chemical pregnancy followed by a stillbirth, which after speaking to the Tommy's charity, was due to me having blood clotting issues, causing the placenta to fail. We then had a successful pregnancy followed by another chemical pregnancy which I put down to 'one of those things' but then I had another chemical and after speaking yo Tommy's again I realised was all connected and they put me on blood thinners earlier. It's definitely worth looking into charities like Tommy's to help you get answers as they just don't seem to have the resources available elsewhere (NHS, UK etc).

I was referred to gynae after our 4th pregnancy loss, they did a blood test (which tested thyroid, blood clotting and something else I think) and my thyroid came back abnormal. I was 23 and had 3 miscarriages and a stillbirth, with me being so young with abnormal thyroid blood results and the recurrent miscarriages they referred me to endocrinology. Turns out I have an autoimmune disease that attacks my thyroid, which meant it effected my hormones so I wasn’t producing enough to stay pregnant. I’m currently 37 weeks but this is our 9th pregnancy… even in this pregnancy I had to have hormones before I fell pregnant and then was on progesterone pessaries until I was 16 weeks x

I didn't. After 3 losses I was sent for tests at the EPU and they didn't find anything that explained the losses and thought it was just 'one of those things'. They did refer me on to somewhere that could do more tests but I cancelled the appointment because I'm now 16 weeks pregnant. It's been a rough ride and I totally understand the desire for answers but there is hope in the unknown too x

Thank you everyone and so sorry for your losses, iv had blood tests and pelvic scans but been waiting for a consultant appointment for 6 months now to discuss the results and in that time fell pregnant but at this moment I'm miscarrying. All I want to know is if my results have shown anything buts it's a long wait it seems and now don't know if it's put me at the back of the list. I was on folic acid and progesterone but still miscarried xx
