Dentist

Hello everyone! I'm not originally from the UK. Can someone please explain me how to register my son with a dentist? I've heard dental treatment is free for children? When shall I take him first? He is 3 months old now Thanks in advance ☺️

google 'nhs find a dentist' there's a link to see where nearby has availability to register. you just ring them and ask to register as a patient and then make an appointment once he has teeth 😊 yes dental care is free up to 18 years old x

I found that all the dentists in my area will accept child NHS patients but not adults. So my daughters had a dentist since 1 year and goes every 6 months. I don't have a dentist, but surely if they can take the extra appointments for children, then they can for adults too 🫠 so I have to pay extortionate prices privately 🙈

@Lilli maybe they're having certain amount of adults and certain amount of children and children amounts haven't been exceeded yet. Just my guess 🤷

@Lilli yeah it’s because kids don’t really need any work done and to see them is less than like 20 minutes cause I ask my dentist so it’s easier to take them than an adult as so much more to do etc , that’s what they told me anyways cause I queried it xx
