I used to do that in the beginning but he'd absolutely reject milk in the morning :( even if I can feed him somehow he will be awake and just fuss😭
What time is his last feed in the evenings? Could you try a dream feed when you go to bed? X
Usually early wake ups are caused by overtiredness. What is your rough routine/wake windows like? And how much day sleep is he having? Other factors could be light so making sure room is dark (black out blinds), continuous white noise can really help too.
Mines started waking up around 5am and not going back to sleep in her cot. I absolutely refuse to get up that early 😅 so I put her in bed with us for an hour or so. Sometimes she fusses for a bit first, but she always ends up asleep (so far!)
We are facing early wakes for last few days 4 30-5 30 am and what helps is a little swaying in the arms of my husband or back and forth in the pram, he basically needs some rocking as I think its the teething thats causing the wakes and discomfort. I see him rubbing his ears and trying to go back to sleep but needing help.
I would try just giving him a little bottle when he wakes up. You could use them ready to go bottles if you don’t want to stand round in the kitchen for ages having to make a bottle they’re £1 each from Tescos and is a good time saver but completely up to you, then wake up later on and have some actual breakfast. My LO sleeps through the night always does but on the odd occasion will wake up before the crack of dawn and I’m talking like 5am so sometimes just a little bottle helps get him back off to sleep for a few more hours xxx
Thanks so much everyone! I tried everything and still no luck. However as you recommended @Abbey, the little bit of milk first thing keeps him relatively calmer then before!!! So might continue with milk first thing....he doesn't go back to sleep though 😔🥲🙂 but I'll take calmer!!
If he had milk, would he not go back down for a bit and then have breakfast when he re wakes? X
