Would you change daycare? Advice needed

My little one started daycare at 18m. She’s now 26m. She had the usual adjustment period but has since loved it. Her teachers in toddler class were great. Last week they suddenly decided to move her to the 2yo class. I was told that Monday morning that she would only be visiting but they left her there for the entire day and every day since. Every morning since then, she cries at drop off. I’ve also not had any proper introduction from her new teachers. I had to ask one lady what her name was one morning. And that lady is never there in the evening, it’s always someone random and different. My daughter drinks special milk. This morning I noticed it wasn’t on their snack cart and was told it’s probably out but no one told me. They recently changed apps and now we no longer get updates throughout tbe day but just a summary sheet at the end. Her prior class’ teachers have tried to make sure it’s up to date and accurate and will also give a basic verbal update at pick up. Today I asked how was the day all I got was “it was good”. It’s 90 degrees outside where we live today and they were outside with the class, which is fine. But my LO was sweating, hot, and immediately asking for water. But they handed me her water bottle EMPTY. Disclaimer: I am currently pregnant and lots of things annoy me. We haven’t had any majors issues until recently. But I wanna know if I’m being too critical and just need to give it time. Or should we start looking for somewhere new?

I’d start looking for a new daycare.

I think those are all issues to bring up to whoever is in charge before pulling her out. Sometimes, things can slip through the cracks, but that does seem like a lot. I'm not sure what it's like in your area, but where I live, it's incredibly difficult to find daycare, like, wait lists a year out. It might be different for you, but in my opinion it is worth it to see if these things can be corrected before making a big change.

As a former teacher the older they get the less updates they give. I wouldn’t pull her just yet. I’d talk to the teachers who are watching her introduce myself. And talk to the afternooon teacher as well. And then the director. The situation might be salvageable. Feel free to reach out to me.

I would bring the issues up with the director first to see if they can get chances made and if not corrected (if therr is a district manger contact them as well) and if no changes I would change daycares.
