How long have you been collecting for? And how are you trying to get it out

@Georgia Deeming 20 mins and with my hand in the c shape method xx

Have you only recently started collecting?

@Georgia Deeming yeah just turned 37 weeks xx

It takes a little times, it’s not always there straight away, try and stimulate your nipples it might help. I only got half a syringe when I was collecting for my son in nicu. You’ve got this❤️

@Georgia Deeming thank you lovely 🥰🥹❤️

If you need any help don’t be afraid to message me❤️

I spend an hour doing it 2/3 times a day and that usually gets me 0.7-1.0ml. I’ve been doing it for 10 days, I think water intake definitely has an impact on the consistency. It’s harder to get out when it’s thick and sticky x

Exactly what Marissa said, food and water is a must as it’ll build your milk supply too x

Hiya before having my baby it could only get that amount even by using an electric pump but dosnt worry as soon as I had her I could get a good few oz and then mum milk came in strong so don’t panic thinking you won’t be able to produce milk xxx

Honestly amazing that you’re managing to get anything right now so don’t beat yourself up about amounts as a little colostrum goes a long way! Mine only came in once baby was here, and I managed to use an electric pump to collect it/help boost my supply 😊

It’s very daunting when you feel like your not collecting much. But to collect any is great so keep going. I found a nice warm bath helps as does a water bottle on the breast to warm them up. Your surroundings also definitely help with how much you produce. I found putting something funny on or listening to my favourite songs helped. I massage the breast for a while before hand to get the colostrum down. I then get my thumb at the top of the areola and index finger at the bottom of the areola so it’s more of a u shape than a c shape and apply a small amount of pressure squeezing up to the nipple ( not too much that it hurts) pull back and repeat until the colostrum comes out.i also try different angles around the areola. I found using a hukka hand pump helped because I was struggling to actually collect it the cup/ bowl was getting far too messy 🤣

@Leah thanks so much ❤️

Thanks all ❤️❤️❤️❤️
