HELP ME

Someone help me, feel like putting my head through a wall! My son is 10 months old and literally refusing all foods offered to him, accept babybels and skips! I’ve tried him with sooo many different foods and options today but literally just blows raspberries at me! Any ideas?

What about a omelette with melted babybell inside or just cheddar. Is he having a lot of milk? Maybe he is just teething or full from milk x

Just give him normal food you eat, if he doesn't don't bother, he will eat when he will be hungry 🙂

I’ve tried everything haha! Erm I literally give him 3 bottles one in the morning, one mid afternoon and one at bed time! But he never finishes the full 7oz xx

Have you tried changing where you feed him? Sometimes different environments can alter their level of interest. I would also go back a few steps to baby led weaning recipes (eg joe wicks or rebecca wilson) and completely avoid giving salty pre packaged snacks at that age. They really don't need it yet. The more they have them the more they want them and their taste buds become used to it and refuse the stuff they should be eating. Also remember that at 10 months food is really only there to explore and their calorie intake is mostly from milk, so try not to stress. They sense pressure and that makes it worse. X

When I was little, I never used to eat for my mum and yet my dad had no problems getting me to eat whatever he put in front of me. Just do what he used to do with me: cut everything up super small, put it in a bowl with some of his favourite things (skips and babybel, breakfast of champions, etc) plonk him in front of his favourite cartoon and then just WALK AWAY. Let him decide for himself whether he wants to try some new things and take the pressure off both yourself and him. He might surprise you (he also might not, but he’s not gonna starve - just give him time).

Dad struggles too! But he will eat for his great nana anything and everything! He’s a pain 😂 And I will actually try that it’s a good idea! I’ll let you know how it goes 😂 thank you!

Try not to stress about it. My 2.5 year old was always a good eater but we’re having a super picky phase atm. It comes and goes. He’s not going to go hungry if he’s still having his milk. It’s important to keep serving variety as exposure to the different food helps even if he doesn’t eat them. A good option might be a ‘picky plate’ with a few of the things you know he’ll eat and a few different things too. He might surprise you x
