Dropping the nap????

Hi mamas Need advice , my daughter still really needs this last nap 12/1pm she has 40 minutes to an hour some days she fights it but if she does she naps late which means bedtime is a shambles , She generally goes to be for 8, 8:30 I want to get that to 7:30 which I think I could do if she didn’t nap but honestly she still needs it she get very overwhelmed and the crying and tantrums if she hasn’t napped are ridiculous , Iv tried keeping her up and then straight after bath time at 6 she couldn’t keep her eyes open I put her to bed she was wide awake at 10pm like she thought that was her nap lol , After she’s in bed she always like clock work wakes up around 11/12 to get in my bed which I let her so we can all get some sleep , ideally I’d like her asleep by 7:30 and going straight through in her cot lol any advice (She’s never slept the whole night through, not once in two and a half years lol) It’s not a major thing I just would like some down time of an evening as I’m non stop all day and her dads one of them that’s the fun dad who plays with her but does fuck all else Sorry for the rant mamas , any advice would be appreciated x

Doesn't really sound like she's ready, but maybe cut the nap by another 10 minutes? I find my son can do a few days in a row of a really short nap, like 20-30 minutes, but eventually it all catches up and he needs a longer nap after a few days. Also, currently he's going to bed about 9 each night, (wakes about 7am) but without the nap crashes at 5 and has a split night.

We had this for a while. The awkward stage of still needing a nap in the day but it impacts night. We started cutting the nap to half an hour and the nap is pretty much gone now. He still naps every other day but the days he does it impacts the night. So going to try and cut it out fully. It’s an awkward stage. But it will pass, sounds like she’s on the way to dropping the nap. What time does she wake? Could you wake her slightly earlier to then get her to nap earlier and then wants to go to sleep earlier.

@Emily she normally wakes around 8 but Iv been waking her at 7 and she has her nap around lunch time which is helping with bedtime x
