Moving things while pregnant

Hello! Did y’all pick up or drag things during your pregnancy? I’m 27 weeks pregnant and I was turning a box upright(car seat & stroller came in). I might be overreacting but as I was turning the box upright I felt the muscle in my rib flexing and I’m worried it might be the placenta 😂 I just don’t wanna overthink. Btw, the box wasn’t heavy to me at all.

Girl no girl ur fine! I was just like that too 😩

Yeah you’re good

Lmao I was the same way!!! lol

Lmaoooo thank you so much ladies! I’m glad I’m not the only one! 😂

Your good! I made the mistake of wanting to rearrange furniture in the living room at 29 week I believe (moving 2 couches around deep cleaning by my self) with my second that night I had to go in to stop labor😅 I was on bed rest the rest of my pregnancy 🙃

I moved my entire house around 35 weeks pregnant. Dresser, bed frame, mattress , boxspring. I don’t recommend it. But when mama wants 💩 done, we gets it done. 💪 💗

I think the risk is more that it’s easier to get injured bc your ligaments are looser and preparing for birth, less so about harming the baby. TBH I used pregnancy as an excuse not to do any manual labor for like the last 4 months of my pregnancy. It was great.

@Mechelle omgggg!!!! I I’m glad you & your baby turned out fine. It’s crazy how society makes us think that pregnant women can’t do anything but we actually can…but very limited.

@Anna I know! I was hoping Amazon dropped the package off before my husband left for work so I didn’t want anyone to take my package since it is a stroller & car seat. Honestly, I think it hurts more when I lift myself off the ground more than sitting the box upright(which it didn’t hurt at all)

@Julie you’re absolutely right bc it’s so easy to hurt your back and our hips are already sore !

As long as you are practicing safe lifting within your means it's fine, it's doing movements your body isn't used to or not lifting properly or too much for your self limit that your more at risk of an injury.

@Erika 😬 with that being said I told my family about it (more of telling my aunt who lives close by) and she knew about it and when my son was born (on the day like 2 hours after him being born) dfcs was called and guess who called, you guess right! My aunt AND my older cousin, stating false claims, I had to spend a week at her place (cause of them) cause my house was CLUTTERED (do to my husband wanting to collect things🙄) she didn't come out to help or anything, so now I'm afraid to have another child now (my son is 7 months old)

@Mechelle don’t be scared. Usually it always works out when someone bails on you. They weren’t going to be much help being there anyways.

@Erika couple of weeks ago my aunt messaged me and I told her to stop messaging me for what she put me through, she acted like she did nothing wrong she said she was worried about me if she was so worried about me then she should of made the drive to help but she didn't 🤷

I delivered groceries from Walmart and Instacart the last 3 months of my last pregnancy from May to July in Texas heat. Just be careful lol. Listen to your body.
