Mothers day!

What is your view on mother’s day? Is it solely to celebrate being a mum or is it to celebrate being a grandmother as-well? 🙂

As long as I can remember I was always brought up to celebrate my mum and my grandmothers too on Mother’s Day, both had cards and presents. My grandmothers were a huge part of my childhood and growing up so maybe that’s why!🫶🏼

I personally think it’s just for mum. I get so confused when mother in law asks for cards from my son and I tell her she’s not his mum 🙈

It’s for sure for moms! Although grandmas are moms too! But I don’t think my kids need to give there grandmas cards! But her kids can give her cards or a gift tho even as adults! Moms are moms and we should be greatful! And I think it’s cute for sure when moms and grandmas celebrate together and do like brunch whatever with the fam just celebrating all the moms of the family! Cause with out moms there wouldn’t be the big family that keeps on growing!

I think it's for all, but in terms of who should be the focus I like this description... "Mother's Day should centre around those actively in the trenches of motherhood and the veteran mothers (like grandmothers) can be celebrated but aren't the focus"

I celebrate my grandma too

My family has always done both Mother's Day is for all mothers - moms, Grand-Mothers, and Great grand Mothers (all on which exist in my house, lol). To be fair, I also say Happy Mothers Day to all the mothers out there that I know of
