Nipple thrush?

Has anyone had this? I’m 3 weeks PP and for a while I’ve had stabbing/deep burning pains in my nipples after feeding that lasts an hour or two. It’s really intense. Nipples are very red and sore looking. Babies tongue has white residue on it constantly. I’ve had latch checked by 5 midwives and two lactation consultants and all say it looks great. Does this sound like thrush? Do I need to go to GP?

my baby currently has thrush and he has yellow bits in his mouth on his gums etc i would just call the gp surgery and get it checked and if it is they can give you and baby treatment for it x

I had similar a few days in and I had a bacterial infection in my nipple, it was misdiagnosed as thrush though at first. I’d deffo seek advice from health visitor or GP x

This sounds like thrush to me. My baby also has the white spots on inner cheeks and lips and our gp has prescribed medication for myself and baby.

I could have written this post myself, I went to the GP today who looked at baby’s lips and immediately diagnosed thrush and gave baby some oral drops and myself some cream. GP should see you pretty quickly as baby has symptoms x
