as long as the food is cut appropriately & can be smashed with your fingers, you can give it to them without teeth. you should follow solid starts, they’re really helpful
Purees count as solids so if you're more comfortable with purees stick with that but they can definitely have whole foods (that have been prepared the right way) before they have teeth. Like the others have suggested the free version of the app, Solid Starts, tells you the safest way to offer whole foods at each age
You can give him solid foods now! They don’t need teeth to chew food. Solid stars app is great to show you how to prepare/cut foods We’ve done broccoli, pears, corn, strawberries, refried beans, oranges(and more those are just the ones I remember lol)
