Baby will only sleep on me
Hiya, anyone else struggling with this? Baby is almost 9 months but will still only sleep on me during the day. Will also sometimes fall asleep briefly in car seat or pram if they are moving at night im co sleeping with her because it’s the only way me or her will get any sleep She still needs me to rock her to sleep. And still up a few times I in the night. Anyone have any suggestions for how I can get her to sleep in her cot she just cries and cries if I put her in there.

@Carys think you. How do you help him to fall asleep in the cot?
@Katie we will first put him down at the end of the bedtime routine before he has a chance to start crying🥴 and see what he does. Usually he cries, so I'll go in and pick him up, let him really calm down in my arms, then put him down and stroke his head and shhh and stay there until he feels asleep. It takes patience, it's not normally quick! What position does she sleep in, when you're cosleeping? I.e back/side/front etc?

Unfortunately, consistency is key. But to start with, we had to transfer him into the cot when he was fast asleep. That's the only way initially we'd get him in there so he could become used to it. We still have to help him fall asleep in the cot
