Mine does that as well..I wonder what causes that.. as far as I know babies starts to have night terror after becoming toddler.
My baby has done this as well a few times.
My baby at 1 month use to cry in her sleep, she doesnt do it as much anymore. Rare now. I just make sure she breathing okay. I dont wake her it passes anf she goes right back to sleep. I read sometimes while babies passses through different phase of sleep they may cry because thier brain is not developed enough to process it. Something along those lines.
@Nene same! She would keep her eyes close. And like @Ann said , apparently you don’t wake them up. And when she first had it , I freaked out. Woke her up. Then the next few times she did, I wouldn’t and do what you did @Nene . I’d just hold her and sooth her until it passed. But it’s just so sad.
@Lam yeah, I’ve tried to research why but it’s so puzzling that they get this. It’s so sad. Coz the cry is out of fear. ☹️ & you just feel helpless
Night terrors is a total different thing and usually seen in older kids. It can, however, be just related to waking up at night and being very upset because can't fall back to sleep and need our help. Is he sleeping in same place where he wakes up? Does he uses something to fall asleep that is not there when he wakes up?
My baby does that! She is 5 months old. She will just wake io crying like she was scared or something. She does it while her eyes are closed too. The Pacifier does not help I have to physically hold her and rub her chest for her to open her eyes.
