My twins have had about 4% difference . Doctor said it’s nothing to worry about as twins are never actually the same size . They are currently 3lb9oz 3lb 5oz

currently 20 weeks with triplets, our two sharing a placenta have 1.5% discordance

Di-di twins and at our 20 week anatomy scan there was a 21% discordance so we were really worried. Thankfully at our 22 week follow up it was only 12% and the doc seemed happy with the weight gain . I think it’s only worrisome when more than 20%

I say also mommas up ur protein intake . I’ve been drinking protein drinks , eat more veggies , peanut butter is good also

I'm 3rd tri mo-di twins (sharing a placenta) and we have a size discordance of around 10% right now, but it fluctuates every appt. Since they share a placenta, this is something we have closely monitored and been concerned about. The accuracy on ultrasound measurements isn't great, so you might see fluctuations from week to week. We had a week where we had a greater discordance and I was really worried, but our MFM wasn't concerned since they've been staying on the same trend and the next appt it was back down to the prior range. Our doctor also echoed the prior comment about increasing protein intake!

@Lana I’m glad things turned around for you at the next appointment 🥰 was there anything you remember actively changing to get these results? I see people are saying to eat more protein on here

I def aimed to have 80-100g of protein a a day ..cottage cheese and egg for breakfast and a protein shake for a snack gets you half way there so it’s doable . My husband jokes I’m competing with the most intense bodybuilders

My DCDA twins had a 20 - 30% size discordance throughout my pregnancy and I was closely monitored with scans every two weeks. When they were born my boy was almost a kg heavier than my girl (3.2kg and 2.3kg) but they were both healthy and we were discharged after two nights. They are now 10 months old and are still 30% different (my boy is huge!)

@Hannah that’s so reassuring thank you for sharing this ❤️
