Postpartum Recovery

FTM What’s everyone’s experience been with bleeding postpartum? I’m 17 days postpartum and my bleeding has completely stopped. Should I expect it to start up again? Is it safe to wear my own underwear again instead of the disposables?

Hi my postpartum bleeding stopped at 10-11 days and I slowly started wearing my underwear again but stayed in the disposable for more comfort bc I was still using the tucks pads and the healing sprays bc I had slight tears

Almost a month pp and still bleeding 🥲

@joneisha did you have any bleeding pick back up as you increased activity after it stopped?

@Mikaela Myers I’ve heard it’s different for everyone 🥺 I had a second degree tear and stitches that are still uncomfy. I’m shocked I stopped bleeding already. I had a giant blood clot like just smaller than a tennis ball a week ago. 🙃

Nope not at all

It might be the tear still bleeding and not your actual uterus, if you’re concerned ask your Obgyn

@joneisha they had me schedule a postpartum visit at 4 weeks after which is a week from Monday. I just was hoping to wear a pad in my normal underwear and that the bleeding is over now 😅🤞

i stopped bleeding around 7 days and started up again a few days later. i have moved on to my own underwear & a thin overnight pad with no issues of “ruining” my underwear. tho i havent had to add anything else, if youre still having alot of things in your underwear maybe stick to the disposables for a while.

If you care about your underwear, wear panty liners. That's what I am doing. Mine picked up for a day or 2 a week after it almost stoped. 1 month postpartum and wearing the liners cause I don't want to accidently wake up and have blood all over my bedsheets. Got enough to do. But everyone is different

I’m 4w pp and still have very light bleeding. I switched to panty liners about a week ago. So far it’s mostly just tapered off. There are moments of slightly more bleeding but still not enough to need a full pad. It’s really going to be different for everyone, and totally up to you on what you’re comfortable with.

Man be careful I’m two week pp and I thought I was in the clear bled all over everything 🤣
