Delivery Petite Mommas

Moms of twins who are petite (I’m 5’0 with a short torso) when did you deliver ? My last singleton baby I went 38 weeks however I’m already 19 weeks and almost the ending weight I was with him . I remember how painful it was with just carrying him I can’t imagine if my body can take carrying 2 to 38 weeks

I'm a little taller, 5'3 and I was 97lbs before I got pregnant, but I do have a super long torso so I think that helped me a lot. I made it to 36w1d and pushed them both out in less than 30 minutes, I'm sorry mama that pressure is unrealllll. Hot baths, heating pads, and Tylenol were my best friends

I’m 5’1 and I gained total of 30lbs. delivered via planned c section (A was breech). I was allowed to pick a date between 36 and 37 weeks because they are mono di. The last week I just didn’t do anything. I do believe it’s better to gain your weight early with twins and you may not gain as much later on. They were 4lbs12on and 6lbs4on for reference

@Roxanne did they need anytime in the nicu ?

Twins come early regardless of your body shape lol. Mine made it to 29 weeks.

I was 115lbs before my twins and 5’2. I delivered at 33 weeks 4 days when my water broke unexpectedly. I weighed 165lbs when they came. We had a 6 week NICU stay but my boys are now home, healthy and happy! It was so hard at the end to keep them in 😖 I was hospitalized at 29 weeks for pre-term labor concerns and managed another 5 weeks on bedrest! Every day/week they bake longer is a blessing. You got this! :)

5’3 I found out later about 20 weeks I was high risk with my twins I’m 110 lbs I got to 133 ish pounds and lost it all again I wore stuff to make me look like I wasn’t as pregnant but I had my girls at 32 weeks and three days with a 19 day stay in the Nicu. Mind you my girls are almost three now.

@Ashleigh glad everything went well in the end and you all are home safe and healthy!

i am currently pregnant with twins & i am only 5’1 and 107 pounds 🫠🫠😭

@Kiara thank you! ❤️

I was 54kg and 5’3 with a tiny frame athletic build from gym. I remember my midwife telling me very early on that I wouldn’t make it past 34 weeks as there would literally be no room left to stretch in my tummy and my waters would pop. I remember at my 16 week scan my bump looked like a full term single pregnancy would. I was 34 weeks 4 days and my waters popped, my bump was ginormous and soooo stretched by that point my body had no choice. Twin 1 was breech so I was taken for an emergency c section. Twin 2 went straight to special care for 1 week then we were all home x

@Mimi I can’t believe the midwife predicted that 😅 glad you and your babies recovered and are home safely. My mother said I won’t go past august which is around 33-35 week mark for me

@Kiara honestly she was so right I couldn’t believe it 😂 my sister had same body build as me and she had her twins at 34 weeks 3 days. 33-35 weeks sounds around average I’d say. That would be a good mark to hit. I had mine nearly 6 years ago though 😆 I wish you luck! Try and stay active but don’t push yourself too much x

I’m 5’1 and a half (the half matters 😂😂😂) and I have a really short torso too, long legs. I delivered at 33 weeks, emergency c-section x

@Bri that was me exactly and I delivered this week at 36w 2d because I chose to (c-section) You can make it! Mono di twins and doctor said to he would allow us to go to 37w 1d given everyone was healthy.

@Kiara hi, one of my girl spent 1 night to help with her body temperature regulation. My 2nd daughter is on her 3rd night there and we think it will be 2 or 3 more (blood sugar IV). So maybe one week?
