this happened with me not too long ago. i ate a lactation cookie and had some mothers milk tea and pumped every two hours (every 3-4 hours at night so i can sleep). i also pump an extra few minutes after there’s no more milk coming out. ive been doing this for 3 days now i think and today i pumped the most i’ve ever made in one sitting which was 14 oz.
Hey girl I eat lactation cookies this lady makes me 1 times a day I eat oatmeal with coconut oil in it as well the coconut oil does wonders I had to stop eating the coconut oil because it makes me have to pump like every 1 and a half and they will hurt so damn bad . But I also pump every 2 to 3 hours a day ❤️❤️ & latch baby on once a week I am 3 weeks pp and I pump about 50 ounces a day
My doctor told me to pump less more often and hand express after you pump each time. Oats help with and increase in milk supply as well. Other moms have told me that body armor or blue Gatorade help increase supply too.
@Lis no I haven't tried power pumping but I'll look into it, thank you
@elliese I've had some lactation drinks and I was able to get 3.5 oz I'll look into some more lactation products, thank you
@Aries Torres that's a lot, hopefully I have some luck soon🙏 I pump every 2-3 hours during the day and about every 3-4 hours at night. About 15-20 minutes each session
@Leslie is there a certain type of oats to eat or will any be fine? I have Quaker Oats original, but I don't like eating it plain, will honey affect the milk supply if I add it?
@Nika any kind of oats try oat milk too
@Nika nd I pump about 30 to 45 mins
@Nika any kinds of oats will work. You can eat oat meal, make cookies, drink oat milk. Really the possibilities are endless as long as there's oats
@Aries Torres oh okay I was told by the nurses at the hospital to do short pumps till baby is about 3-4 months. I'll try this out though, thank you
@Leslie ah okay I do drink oat milk but not daily, I will try this out as well. Thank you 🙏🏼
@Nika try the coconut oil let me know how it works ❤️
Following currently two weeks postpartum I make about 2 ounces out of my giver boob and my slacker I’m once gettting a half to a ounce and my baby girl is constantly on and off the boob I never know when to pump I’m positive she’s cluster feeding but this is so nuts

@Abreonna my baby has been cluster feeding the past few days as well, I try to get her to latch but she is so used to the bottle nipple cause the milk comes out faster or something 😔 I've even tried the nipple shields and she gets really fussy so I give in and give her breastmilk mixed with formula from the bottle.
Following because I have the very same issue
@Abreonna same here
@Nika hang in there girl fed is best no matter how you do it I haven’t done formula yet but I’ve been close to it my nipples are so sore and feel raw I be wanting to cry we came home from the hospital and I had two cracked nipples because my daughter was latching so shallow they’re finally healed but now I’m worried about the supply Some times she feeds on time sometimes she waits longer to wake up I’ll start pumping she’ll start screaming for the boob it’s truly a mess over here 🥹and I’m trying to keep my head above water with all of this
Lactation cookies or the lactation drops and the mommy milk tea
@Aries Torres, that's amazing. What is the recipe for that? Just oatmeal and coconut oil cookies?
@Mutago I usually get a little scoop and mix it in my oatmeal while it’s hot
Make sure you’re pumping around the clock. It sucks, but if you don’t pump frequently enough, your supply will decrease. Every 3 hours or so is ideal with a newborn
I had the same issues but I ordered this tea called mother’s milk on Amazon which isn’t expensive and started taking these pills. Legendairy milk Lechita is what they’re called. Now I HAVE to pump often and I mainly breastfeed. I pump 7 Oz easily and my baby was born 4/4. I also Pinterest some lactation cookies and made them to snack on. At least try the mother’s milk tea 1st since the box is only 5 bucks and hopefully that’ll help. Don’t give up. Keep pumping. Every bit counts. The more you pump the more your body will start producing. Be patient. You got this!
Have you tried power pumping? Upping your supply is about stimulating your breasts enough for your body to believe that it needs to make more milk to feed your baby. Power pumping helps give a shape and rhythm to that stimulation.
