My 18 month old doesn’t walk or say much

My 18 month old has febrile seizures and doesn’t walk! she only says dada and will mimic songs that she likes. she ignores us and doesn’t look at me when talking to her. we are going back to pediatrician next week but they’ve told me because she’s cruising and taken 3-4 steps she’s fine. i just don’t know they keep saying it’s not the seizures but ever since she started having them she just isn’t hitting milestones.

Im sorry you are going through this with your little. My son will be 18mo on Monday and only has a couple of words. And other than mama and Dada he may say a word one day and then never say it again. My boss said her son didn't even take his first steps until he was 18mo.

hey mama my 18 month old does not walk at all either but she stands doesn’t quite take her first steps without my hands yet but honestly i can tell you what i’ve been told that she’ll pick up on her own time i thought i was doing something wrong turns out my baby girl is just lazy 😂💕

I’m so sorry your going through this I know you want answers have you tried a second opinion maybe that might give you an answer y’all might be looking for my daughter just turned 18mo on the first and she has a hard time walking in general you’ve got this she goes to pt just try and get a second opinion before you get down you’ve got this

My son has had 3 seizures, he was also a late walker but he got there started walking about 20 months, if it is febrile seizures they are not a cause for delay, they are bloody scary though! I was the same and was connecting dots together that wernt there through worry xx Your little one will be fine mumma, easier said than done but try not to worry xx

I am currently going through the same thing and I request a referral for physical therapy and speech therapy, in just a month of therapy my 18 month old is taking steps when assisted and he has said all done, more, mama, dada, and nana

she’s so darn mean too to us but interacts so well with others her age.

it just concerns me she barely free stands on her own
