When can I put sunscreen on my baby?

The question is not only when can I put sunscreen on my baby but also which one is safest for my baby. He's going to be 3 months.

I’m wondering the same thing! Especially because I’m about to go on vacation end of month with my 4 month old. My mom said there is a safe one to make at home so I’m trying to look that up because even the ones in the store yesterday for babies had so many chemicals

Lol then there’s me that got baby sunscreen and put it on my 6wk baby 🫣 I used earth mama eczema one for his body and the stick for his face.

I didn’t even know it was bad to use sunscreen, I just didn’t want him to get burned nor the opportunity for skin cancer

So FDA recommends no younger than 6months because they can develop a rash (mine didn’t btw). But if you must, use a mineral one with zinc oxide or titanium dioxide

They say six months but I used ThinkBaby before that and it was fine.

During pregnancy I remember learning that no sunscreen till 6 months I just didn't remember why.

The Environmental Working Group (ewg) has safe sunscreen and other product recommendations for babies and kids: https://www.ewg.org/news-insights/news/2017/06/19-best-scoring-sunscreens-babies-and-kids
