What do you guys do to give veggies?

I feel like I've tried everything And she knows when we try and trick her, she either won't eat it all together or she will spit out the veggie and eat the rest I got too excited at 6 months giving solids and I started with fruit, now whenever I ask for assistance I get told "should've started with veggies" like yes I already know that🤦 that wasn't what I asked

She loves meat and the only veggie she ate was zucchini and she only ate one of the pieces and she won't eat it when she's in her high chair 🤷

Have a picnic (change the environment), make dips for the veggies or steam and add butter/cheese, oh and spices. Make them taste good! You can even make veggie tots. Or smoothies and throw in some veggies like spinach or cauliflower.

@April thank you

At 15 months she weighed 22 pounds and at around 16 months old we had to move states and then I gave birth to her brother and she started eating less even food she loved she didn't want, good days she ate okay ish and not so good days she didn't want to eat barely anything and at her 18 month appointment she weighed 21 pounds

@Nevaeh You're welcome. I hope that helps. I'm not sure what you've tried. I have just learned with mine that I have to keep trying different options. She's never had issues with veggies, but we've had issues with liquids, fussiness in her highchair, brushing her teeth and bath time.

@April do you use sippy cups? Mine drinks from hers sometimes but most of the time she spills them, with every different type of cup she is determined to find a way to make it spill no matter what drink is in there

We have tried a few different sippy cups with Life Factory being the one we use the most. She prefers just drinking freely from my cup (open cup) or using a straw, but not her own cup with a silicone straw, it has to be mine.

For us, the only way he likes them is if I toss them with olive oil, a little salt and garlic powder and stick them in the air fryer to get a little crisp. He loves asparagus, broccoli and green beans that way.

Also, I always give him the veggie first. If I start with the other stuff (protein, carb) he will eat that and ignore the veggie

Thank you guys

Yummy Toddler Food (website, FB or IG) has great suggestions! Many of the veggies in her recipes are blended/puréed before adding them so they’re undetectable!

Don’t listen to those ppl or beat yourself up. I started with veggies and my LO loved veggies when he was in the pure stage but now at 18months he’ll only eat tomato and it’s not even a real veggie! Maybe avocado if I’m lucky

Don’t listen to them u r doing a good job. I’m in the same situation rn my daughter won’t eat any veggies maybe tomatos right now she’s surviving off fruits n hard boil eggs. I sometimes make smoothies and add veggies like Spanish or kale it’s the only way I can get her to eat them.

Pouches or get the glass bottles of puree and put a straw in it.

Don’t beat yourself up. My LO used to eat every veggie I put in front of her and now she picks around them all. Just keep offering them, and eventually they’ll (hopefully 🤞🏼🙏) start eating them again.

I haven't been able to try any suggestions yet but we just gave her corn randomly and she is eating the insides of them and spitting out the skin but it's a start so I'm happy lol
