Maybe done?

I am going to list the treatments we have done and the tests that were ran and the issues I have. If this is my last chance I want to make sure everything is covered so please if I am missing anything please let me know. 1. Progesterone checked and normal 2. Insulin resistant and taking 2,000 mg of metformin a day 3. I have endometriosis and some scaring on my left side which left my left ovary and tube a little damaged. 4. I had severe PCOS which caused some of the scarring to my ovaries. My cysts seem to be under control currently. 5. I had my tubes flushed with the dye scan and no blockage was present 6. We did IVF and got 4 embryos, one of which we fresh transferred unsuccessfully. Medications/supplements I tried but did not help. 1.) Actos 2.) Chlomid 3.) Pregnyl 4.) a powder supplement for PCOS Medications I am currently on 1.) Metformin 2k mg a day 2.) Levothyroxine 3.) Letrozole I will be finishing this year out with the rest of my embryos then throwing in the towel. So please help me make sure I am doing all I can.

Have you read the book IT STARTS WITH THE EGG? I’ve seen it recommended many times in this group and finally picked up a copy. I’m preparing for my second round of IVF (my first failed after I got one euploid embryo that ended in a chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks). I also have PCOS and take the same amount of metformin as you. I picked up some specific supplements recommended in the book. CoQ10, myo-inositol, melatonin, and some others. The book recommends supplement plans based on your exact situation. PCOS, endo, low ovarian reserve, and more. Could be worth it to grab a copy and find the parts relevant to you. There’s also a whole section on embryo transfer prep. Best of luck!

Have you tried embryo glue? A double embryo transfer? Intralipid drip? My successful round I was on clexane each day, progesterone pessaries, pregnyl trigger, domperidone, aspirin and intralipid drip prior to transfer also embryo glue with a double transfer

@Sharon none of that has even been suggested to me. I will have to look into it. Thank you so much!

Assume he has been tested? It takes 2 to tango!

@Erin yes it is an issue as well but that’s why we did 7 rounds of IUI and now are on to IVF.

@Taylor you're welcome, definitely worth asking about. Good luck 💜

I had a bunch of recurrent implantation tests done after my second transfer, following which I was put on a steroid for subsequent transfers. The tests cost about £1k through my clinic. There are also a number of other tests you can have done (EMMA, ALICE, ERA, etc) but there’s only limited evidence they actually make a difference (some may even reduce your chances of success) and they can be expensive. https://crgh.co.uk/directory/investigations/endometrial-health/ https://www.hfea.gov.uk/treatments/treatment-add-ons/endometrial-receptivity-testing/ Have you had the embryos PGT-A tested?

Along with all of the above and also recommend getting your vit D tested and trying to adopt an “inflammation free diet” but not so much where you are completely stressed out about it too, just introducing lots of fruit and veg and cutting back on diary/processed foods for eg. I did as above with Emma/alice/era/ nk cell tests (all came back negative) unfortunately can spend a lot on these things and may give you no info but may get a small amount. My successful transfer involved metformin, aspirin, clexane, prednisolone, folic acid 5mg and vit d high strength. But all the extra meds actually did not have a test that came back with a reason to introduce them. Wishing you all the best x

@Sharon I have never heard of these tests. Is it something I do through my doctor?

@Sally I just had my vitamins checked after an unexpected bout of depression. I am on B12 shots and Vitamin D pills.

You said your progesterone was checked and was normal? What day in the cycle was it checked. The progesterone levels matter in the second part of the cycle not the first so if you did a fresh transfer and progesterone levels were off then it would not have stuck. Also I am a holistic fertility coach. I work with various IVF clinics and the research facilities no not recommend fresh transfers. The frozen transfers have a higher success rate because they can control your hormones better. Additionally as Racheal suggested above I highly recommend the book "it starts with the eggs". However if you want to implement the info from the book that would mean taking a break from the treatments for 3-6 months, implementing the changes, and then going back for a frozen transfer.

@Taylor Not a normal doctor. These are only something you can only get through your IVF clinic.

@Taylor what I've mentioned is all medication suggested by my fertility specialist

Try medical medium books for removing inflammation in the body (ex. Drinking celery juice)

@Anna ooo that is a great option! A lot of women don't understand how built up trauma and stuck energy can be effecting their ability to get pregnant. I have a friend who does that, I can refer her if anyone is interest!!
