Not interested in solids

I’ve tried to feed my baby some veggie and fruit purées but she just isn’t interested. She took a tiny bit of carrot the first time but the last couple of days just closes her mouth and turns her head away. Any advice? Is this normal?

Have you just started weaning? It might take a while for her to get used to trying new flavours. My daughter barely tried anything until I blended up some Spinach and she loved it and ate loads! Also make sure she's actually hungry, leave a good chunk of time after milk.

My baby was the same way we started warming it up and adding breast milk to thin it out but make it more desirable.!

She may be full from bottles also how old if she coz my son started doing this at 4months (don’t care if haters wanna hate on the age I feed him his first solids) midwife said he may not be ready for solids but would eat it every other day

Yeah just started weaning and she is 6 months. I’ll just keep going with it 😅

You could let her play first with food, let her explore the texture and check the timing to be sure she is not full.

Have you tried finger foods? My daughter refuses to be fed but does great with eating herself. She also doesn’t really like purées! x

My lg was rejecting all purees and cold solids so this afternoon we gave her some warm steak and she could not keep it out of her mouth. I didn’t even think about temperature
