The only thing that worked for me a was drinking more water

How much is your baby drinking and how often? 4oz is great output per pump session. However I would change your pump parts if you’re exclusively pumping or just latch your baby more for feedings, and pump every 3 hours not 4

Have you started your periods again? If so then you should be taking a calcium and magnesium supplement during this time to boost your production xx

@Fern just to clarify- it doesn’t boost your production. It counteracts the blood calcium dip during your period which is the thought to be reason behind a dip in supply during this time. I take mine daily since pregnancy and still see a slight dip each month but it does return

Porridge helps and drinking lots of water

Also doing the pump for 20, 10 min rest, pump for 10 rest for 10 can help boost supply if needed

Coconut water & oats!

she takes 6oz each bottle 5 bottles a day. she’s also eating solids

You were pumping 8 ounces a session?! Holy moly!

I was advised to use effervescent electrolyte tablets to help boost my hydration and increase my milk supply levels

@Leonna yeah that is not usually how breastfed babies eat - usually. It’s very very uncommon to have over 4oz per feed, that is more like a formula feeding schedule. That may be why it is difficult to keep up. Our body naturally makes 1-1.5oz per hour and that’s where that feeding guideline comes from
