Tantrums

How often are your kids having tantrums and how long do they last ? Every time my two year old wakes up he usallay goes in this outburst of crying that last for 10 min maybe more . For an example his aunt looked at him today and he had a huge fit and cried for no reason . Idk what this means but it’s every day he wakes up cries and goes nuts. Then when we go by peoples houses some times he will start crying when people say hi to him

OMFGGG MY daughter is literally the same. Idk what to do anymore. When she wakes up in the morning or during the day from nap, no one’s looks at her cuz we’re scared she’s start screaming n crying lol

Same with my son

My daughter does this too. She’ll wake from her nap and completely lose it. My pediatrician and I equate her behavior to separation anxiety 🤷🏽‍♀️

My son usually will have a fit when he doesn’t get his way and it can last for a few min but then he’ll just need cuddles and be distracted. Sometimes will put something on tv and sometimes he’ll just need like food or play

Honestly, my son doesn’t do that so I wouldn’t know all too well. He just hides his face and shows he doesn’t want to be bothered or he yells at us. But I just feel like they’re telling us they aren’t morning people. To be left alone, allowed to wake up in their own time. My son and I cuddle for an hour in the morning while he wakes up.

Man oh man this is my son!!! And The tantrums been coming in heavy I’m ready for this phase to be over

@Krystal idk what it’s about like I think you said separation anxiety I stay home with my kids I’m with him all day it’s just weird how he goes in these moods

@Gabrielle well that’s another he goes by the pantry and wants candy and I tell him no he will go in a huge tantrum

@Aysia it’s terriable . He was doing this before he turned two he turned 2 on April 12th . Idk it sounds bad but I give him smacks because he needs to be corrected like there’s no reason for this

@Alexandra I’m home with my daughter all day too! And unless I lay in bed and take a nap with her. She wakes up crying. I keep reassuring her when I’m putting her down for a nap that I’m still at home even though she can’t see me. And she’s safe. Tbh I’m just hoping it’s a phase. And she’ll grow out of it

@Krystal well mine sleeps in bed with us when we wake up in the morning he’s great but it’s when he wakes up from his nap during the day

@Alexandra lol same! For the past few days I’ve been working with her to get her to sleep in her room for naps. But for the past two years she’s been either in our bed or in our room.

My daughter is always super happy in the morning, but she often wakes up groggy from naps. I normally just spend 10-15 minutes cuddling her and then she's fine.

My daughter has full on tantrums after getting out of the bath or when I try to do her hair (I am SO gentle because I have a sensitive head too) I worry all the time what other people who are walking by the house must think. I’m usually fighting back tears when she has her screaming tantrums. I feel really bad, but she can’t stay in the bath forever 😂 I try to be calming and quiet but she runs around the house butt naked and screaming bloody murder. It’s a nightmare every time.

He could be over tired when going to bed. He could also be waking up hungry so maybe offer a snack immediately or a drink like milk while you fix up breakfast.
