I need some positivity!

Hi all!! So just looking for some reassurance please!!! So I'm 39 years old and will be 40 when I have baby no.2. I had severe PND with my first so I wanted to work on myself before trying for second child. Me and my husband are over the moon about being pregnant. But just having odd reactions from our parents. My Dad's reaction was mainly oh I didn't know you wanted another, thought you were one and done. MIL who is passive aggressive anyways was like you didn't mention you were wanting another since December, so thought you couldn't financially afford it.( We'd never mentioned even wanting a second child to her) Only positive reactions have come from our friend's. Don't know if I'm overthinking it or paranoid about my age, but it's something that keeps running through my mind 🫣

Show your support

You'll be grand. None of their business. You could say you are both absolutely delighted and look forward to well wishes, support and positivity. You are aware of your mental wellbeing and I'm sure you'll have support in place and be extra mindful of how you are feeling. Huge congratulations to you al

No two are the same so they say..so far it's been accurate for me. Im 40 and currently 23 weeks with my second. I had terrible pnd too. I do think about it at times but I think I'm more knowledgeable about it now and I'll know when to spot it of it happens. Don't worry about what others think or say, it's non of their business. Congratulations xx
