Pumping issues
Does anyone else not get anything when they pump? My son seems full and satisfied and he’s a very chunky boy but when I try to pump I haven’t been getting anything more than drops most of the time. Every once in a while I get more but rarely. If I try to express after I can squirt milk out.
I was thinking it was an issue with my letdown reflex and have tried watching videos of my baby etc. but nothing helps. Anybody else struggle with this? So frustrating.

A machine is never as good at getting milk out as a baby is. It can be if you are using the wrong flange size, not replacing pieces regularly, the angle of the pump on your breast, the motor starting to die, the wrong setting, not using the stimulation setting long enough, etc. It's extremely frustrating, and I have the same issue.
I found using a manual pump is so much better than an electric one! But as what someone said in here too, try different flange sizes as well. I hope it gets better & easier! 🫶🏼
Have you gotten the flanges sized correctly?
I have the same issue. It’s tough but making sure you have a quality pump with correct flanges is key. If you haven’t replaced pump parts in a while, do it.
