You can not keep the mix in the bottles unless you have the water in a separate bottle with accurate measurements. It won't end up being the right amount otherwise. For ease, I recommend going to Walmart and getting a to-go formula container and having the water measured out properly in the bottle and dumping formula from the to-go container into the water. That's how I did it. Too much or not enough water in formula can make baby sick. I'm not sure about filtered water. Are you talking about from the tap? And is this to drink separately or in the formula? Either way, it's most likely okay. Just remember before 1 baby only needs a max of 4oz of water a day. I used the gallon bottled distilled water jugs the whole time I was making formula, though. And since we don't have any sort of filtration system and my tap water sucks I still use those jugs for his water cups.

@Lilly yes keep powder pre-measured in bottles and water separate to measure and mix with the powder when needed. I was wondering if filtered tap water is okay to make formula. Our tap water is okay for consumption here.

You could prepare a pitcher for the amount baby will drink in the day. I know dr brown has one for that.

There’s also little containers you can buy to store the pre-measured powder in. Kinda looks like what you’d put snacks in when you’re on the go!

Always do water then formula. I got a formula mixer pitcher. Lifesaver since my lil guy eats every 2 hours

@➳➳𝕊𝕒𝕞➳➳ yes got the pitcher! Same here with every 2 hours

Used to be every 3 or 4 now it's double the amount at every 2hrs. He's insatiable lol
