Sleeping on stomach

My little one just turned 5 months old and started rolling back to front and now does this in his sleep! This morning I found him sleeping on his stomach and it freaked me out. He was fine asleep in his bassinet. Anyone else experiencing this or have any advice? He just has a sheet on his bassinet and sleeps in a sleep sack so following safe sleep guidelines.

Super normal. If they can flip over they are safe. Just make sure everything else is (which it sounds like it is) and don’t worry :)

My LO started sleeping on his belly too absolutely fine if they roll themselves in their sleep and find comfortable position to sleep in it’s safe and nothing to worry about

@Ana it freaked me out! He had his face straight on the mattress. Does your LO do this or do they turn their head to the side? 😓

My girl started doing this too! We have the newton mattress which makes me feel better but still made me nervous at first

Of course it freaked me out even now I check his airways every so often and that his head is not face down on the mattress but he is pretty good they always will adjust their position so they are comfy. I think everyone has this fear it’s normal I think after few weeks we will just get used to it.
