Why so rude to the FTM?

I just read a post where a mama was asking for something so simple, for advice, for help. And another mama commented with such harsh and unkind tone. This app is supposed to bring us together and find resources that most of our doctors would give half-ass answers on. I might get backlash for asking, but why comment if you aren’t going to be nice or genuinely help? Me and friends who I’ve met on this app have talked about this and how it can be discouraging to reach out to mamas we don’t know. We are a community, but it hurts to see a mama be torn down for not knowing something. Especially being a first time mom. Some of us have two-three-four kids and still need some advice. I have two and the surprises are never ending. Us mamas gotta help out each other

I agree! As a ftm that’s why a lot of my posts are incognito. I’m scared of the responses or judgement

@Monae @Amaya it’s definitely a surprise for me to witness such a thing. We already receive so much backlash from society that this app for the longest time was my safe haven. It still is. But my main concern are the mamas who are fresh in the moment experience. Those who aren’t fresh in the experience and still feel lost.

It's awful. This is my first baby, but I've raised 3 kids while I was in high school and I have 2 step kids. We all have our own experiences and can offer so much help to others. Don't point out someone else slanted crown. Fix it and don't mention it

@Elizabeth my point !!! Spot on!! I’m the oldest grandchild of 10. From age 6 on my aunts and uncles were having babies and I loved every moment of it. Learned a lot about children. But doesn’t mean I’m a know it all. Now I have my own kids who have different personalities, likes, dislikes, etc… I become a deer in headlights sometimes.

There are a lot of mean moms on here unfortunately... It can be discouraging but at the same time it just teaches you to watch out and that you can't trust everyone just because they are a mom
