@Stephanie what softeners did you use? Maybe I need to try them so I can get through this again!
Try eating some prunes, like at least 6 a day xx and if you're on any Iron supplements or there's iron in your multivitamin that could be adding to the problem so maybe talk to GP about switching it up x
100% try them, I’m due again any day and plan to use them again if need be!
I take movicol daily and high fiber diet
I used movicol right after giving birth because ive heard so many poo horror stories 😂 i was so afraid to poo but the stool softener worked and i barely had to push. A few days later i stopped taking movicol and I had the most painful poo of my life. I would say it was more painful than the birth itself 😂
Try perkii probiotic shots on top of the stool softener. It works wonders for me.
You need stool softeners! I gave birth to my 2nd Bub 3 weeks ago and they absolutely saved life my life for the first 2 weeks 🩷
Prune just one whole glass down the hatch each day until it happens, like removing toothpaste from the tub . Something to relax the body also as without knowing it, your body will be tensed up every time you feel the urge to go because of the pain you dread . Hope this helps and you get some relief soon xx
Could be a fissure which often heal and then can reoccur when you have a hard stool or are overstraining. Try a gentle daily stool softener like Osmolax, Vaseline, and propping your feet up on a stool. 💕
I second the stool softeners! I was terrified to 💩 after birth it wasn't a pleasant experience but softeners & water were my besties🤣
Get on osmolax (a stool softener) and a prebiotic like resistant banana starch. The pain sounds like a fissure. Will sort you out for sure. If you get desperately stuck, a glycerin suppository is really gentle but will unblock you quickly! If there's no underlying cause it's probs the change in your hormones - if breastfeeding the prolactin etc. Some foods make it worse for some people like dairy, and gluten. Fibre helps some people and makes it worse for others so tread carefully! Look up sitz baths too, can help the healing process. And feet on stool when doing a erm stool.
Sounds ouchy! I was taking stool softeners after birth which worked a treat!
