Bottle refusers
Hi! For those who have/had bottle refusers and so were EBF, at what age did your LO’s start taking milk from another source ie straw cup/ open cup etc ? How quickly were they able to learn to do this?

My little one got the hang of the tum tum straw cup within a couple of days She wouldn’t take loads of milk from it but she’d have a bit Managed to overcome bottle refusal at 7m but she uses the tum tum for water
My baby can take milk from a tum tum straw cup he drinks water fine from it and did drink milk until he realised it was milk and not from source then refused milk that way too 🙃 he’s 6.5 months x
My baby was refusing a bottle and I worked with a lactation consultant (I already had one from breastfeeding issues), she gave me tongue exercises to do with him and he does much better with a bottle now. It took a few weeks of consistency

We had a very determined bottle refuser but did manage to switch for nursery. This was around 7/8m and she never really liked it. Had no problems switching to a 90s style tommee tippee beaker at about 13m once we worked out her ideal drinking temp for cows milk 😬 good luck x
