Probiotic for newborn babies

Anyone tried this and worked for they newborn babies ? I’m breastfeeding they told me I have to give vitamin d to baby and I came across this one. My baby is struggling with her tummy after each feed she is very gassy and her tummy cramps a lot and I heard probiotics are good but I’m bit scared to try it.

I used this !! It worked great when my son was a baby

My pediatrician recommended this to us. We’re a week or so into using it (I think… time has become a vague concept or illusion or something, lol) and it does seem to have helped her overall.

This sounds good. My LB is almost 4 weeks old and we use infacol for his burps which helps loads. However he still has belly cramps with his bottom wind. I’m intrigued if this would help him. He does some amazing farts but it looks uncomfortable for him most of the time.

We used this for a long time and I'm honestly not sure it made any difference. Probiotics are so hit and miss as everyone's gut flora is unique so really you need an individualised probiotic, it's not a case of one size fits all. Infant Feeding Team told me they would never recommend a probiotic when breastfeeding (I only found this out after we had used it) as our breastmilk is individually tailored to our baby's gut and needs.

These were recommended to me but my baby was CMPA so I went with Optibac as it was vegan x

If you’re breastfeeding, your baby should be getting lots of probiotics through your milk. You might not see much difference adding more 🤷🏻‍♀️ I give just a plain vit D, as the baby doesn’t get enough of that through breastmilk.

We used Optibac and I think it really helped my little one. Plus maybe I think an additional multivitamin but I can’t remember now.
