Currently nearly 38 weeks, Been having some cramps and severe diarrhoea, I just went to the toilet as it felt like i was desperate for a poo (the cramps where severe) but nothing was coming but the pressure was unreal, and I got sharp shooting pains up my bum and vagina. Is this a labour symptom?

these are the signs my midwife told me to look out for! so i’d say so but i also have no idea

I've had this on and off for weeks. I think it's just hormones and bowels being squashed but it can also be a sign things are getting started.

I would call triage just to be sure and not get surprise by baby being born at home. Labor starts differently for everyone and some people doesn't have real contractions until very end 🙌
