Brushing teeth hints

So my 16 month old loves brushing his teeth but all he wants to do is bite on the toothbrush and eat the toothpaste. Actually brushing his teeth is quite hard. He'll let me do the bottom ones easily but the top are just a nightmare. I think he has a bit of a lip tie so his top lip doesn't stretch up that easily. Any hints, tips or tricks that could help?

I either brush his teeth in front of a mirror or as he watches his favourite show. He basically needs a distraction as otherwise he just bites the toothbrush and doesn't let me move it 🤣

Have you tried brushing yours at the same time? Kids love to copy x

We have two toothbrushes. Our little one gets one and I use the other to actually brush her teeth. Not ideal, I know, but it’s the only thing that works for us atm as she will literally bite down on the toothbrush and i can’t even move it. 🤦🏻‍♀️

These are all great ideas thank you! I'll give them all a go!

Saving this as my little girl is exactly the same - although you're doing better than me with still being able to brush the bottom teeth. She wont even let me take the toothbrush off her 😅

I let my girl brush my teeth while I brush hers haha
