Putting name down for schools
When can we putting their name down for schools yet? I’m first time mom I was just wondering how does it work. Can we do it now or wait year or two

You have to apply through your local council for reception places. If the school has a nursery you usually apply directly with the school (but still council for the reception place)

For entry to reception in state primary schools you apply the Autumn before they start. So for Jan 2023 babies it would be September2026 -January2027. Private schools probably have different procedures
