CityLink bus

Has anyone taken their baby on a CityLink bus? Did you bring a stroller? How did it go for you? We are debating bringing a car seat as well so we can use taxis. Headed to Fort William for a very quick two day trip.

You’ll need a car seat as there isn’t a space for buggies. I had to have my daughter sitting in the seat next to me.

You can take a pram but it needs to go underneath the bus. I took my baby when she was less than 6 months for a short 20min journey and just had her in the sling but for a longer journey like that, I'd personally use a car seat x

I live in a village which is serviced by city link buses; prams can go under the bus in the suitcase storage (unfolded if it’s not busy with the break on or folded down if busy), baby needs to come out and either sit on your lap or in their car seat. If you’re happy to have baby sitting on your lap then you aren’t required by law to have the car seat with you, but personally I prefer to take it just to make sure baby’s safe x

Hiya, My husband is a city link driver… most probably be a single decker the stroller will go underneath the bus wouldn’t go on and he recommends taking a carseat but as above you would have to pay for the seat for a child. If you are happy to take the child and hold them though no payment Xx

He also just asked an actual city link controller and they have confirmed that info xx
