I wouldn’t worry, my daughter didn’t crawl at all went from nothing to walking at 14 months 🤗 I’m sure he will start when he’s ready, he will have you on your toes all day 😅 x
@Helen No I haven’t I think it’ll be my next step to helping him 😂 It is lovely that I don’t have to completely baby proof the house yet! I think I just overthink about milestones being a first time mum 😂 thank you!
@Lauren don’t worry gal I’m the same. Also a first time mum! Comparison is the thief of joy, and as long as they’re happy and healthy then you’re doing great! I’m sure yours boy excels in other areas of his development 🥰
My baby is 11.5 months and just learned to crawl this week. I felt exactly the same at playgroups! But he is nowhere near walking yet x
My LGs 1 a week today crawled a few steps the other night before face planting now nothing and doesn’t pull to stand either! X
My son started army crawling at 10.5 months but has never crawled properly. All of a sudden literally the day after his first birthday, he has become obsessed with standing and pulling himself up. I think he will skip crawling and go straight to walking! They really do things in their own time 💕
Hey second time mum here and our boy had never rolled, crawled and doesn't pull to stand either. He just doesn't show much interest despite our best attempts and just prefers to sit. I have got him checked out by gp just in case more because he has no way of moving around and he's almost 1. Hv is due as well on Sat and she's aware of the situation so will see what they say. It feels very much like a watch and wait scenario but I know they all develop at there own rate. I usually don't compare but the last week or so I've found it getting to me too as feel like he's such a potato 😅. But hopefully it's just a case of him being a lazy boy , and opens overnight when he sees something he really wants.
I’m in the exact same situation! The annoying thing is, he really wants to be on the move, but just too lazy and knows he will get he wants and where he wants to be because mama does it all for him! 😂🤦🏼♀️ I think my boy is trying to bum shuffle. The health visitor told me that a lot of babies will just start walking and miss out the crawling. My boy is not pulling himself up on anything yet either
Thank you so much everyone, it’s so reassuring to know that I’m not the only one that’s in a similar situation especially at a similar ages! I have heard apparently boys are lazier so I’m thinking that’s the case 😂 hearing all of your own stories has definitely calmed my worries down a lot more so I really appreciate it
Same here with my little girl! Only recently she has started to show signs of crawling even so when she doesn’t understand how to do it, she just gives up and tries to grab everything with her feet instead like a claw machine 😅 Very reassuring to come across your post as I thought I was the only one and was starting to get disheartened/worried. I think she is just a relaxed/chilled little lady and if she doesn’t know how to do it then she just wouldn’t try but loves to be carried around everywhere though hehe 🤣🤣 Our babies are exactly where they are meant to be in their milestone, keep positive mama ❤️❤️❤️
Health visitor advice seems to change so much. We had our 10 month check with the health visitor and she told me that my little boy was behind. Scared the cr*p out of me and I felt really bad. Literally lost so much sleep over it. I now have to have another check at 12 months too. In the last two weeks though, he's suddenly crawling, pulling himself up to stand, climbing the stairs, walking sideways while holding onto furniture etc. I've decided not to let it stress me out now because he's doing everything as and when he wants to. He's just decided to do it all at once 🤣 They'll all get there when they're ready x
My little girl is 11 months and a couple weeks also and this is how she gets around , she also shows lots of signs of crawling but just doesn't set off , it will come or we will have walking babies first haha x
My daughter turned 1 yesterday 02/06 and on her birthday started crawling so don't be disheartened all children are different and will go at there own pace xx
Aww I bet you he’ll be crawling any time soon and then you’ll be wondering why you ever wanted this because your life becomes a risk assessment 😂 have you tried crawling around on the floor with him or moving his hands and legs to make him crawl? Kinda how him how it works? Our bubs started dragging himself around short distances on his tummy, then army crawling all over the place then figured he could go a lot after on hands and knees. They all get there eventually
