Dog barking and waking LO up

What can I do to stop this. I have a happy dog and it keeps on waking my baby up. I’ve tried white noise in the living room where the dog is but unless it’s on super super loud (which makes me worried about my dogs hearing and it’s super annoying for us as well), my dog still barks at the slightest sound.

Is baby old enough to nap in a separate room with the sound machine? I have a very yappy jack Russell and while I was pregnant I trained her to not bark so much. She still does occasionally but nowhere near enough to wake the baby luckily.

I’d second having baby in separate room with door shut with white noise if the barking is waking LO. We have dogs also and while they don’t really bark I’ve had LO nap in a separate room from birth really as they just naturally make noise even just moving about and it’s worked well for us x

@Shelley ( Sheshe 😁 ) @Jenn LO is in a separate room with white noise ok in the room and in the living room for the dog. Still barks and still wakes her up. Don’t know what to do. Love my dog but this is a nightmare.

Depending on where in the house LO is could you put your dog in the garden while she naps? Do you know what makes them bark?

There are safe and humane anti bark collars that work miracles. Had a very yappy Jack Russell who would bark at his own shadow or just because you looked at him 🤣 but had to implement the use of a collar when LO arrived for nap times - wouldn’t look back!
