Why doesnt your employer pay it xx
@Kayleigh some employers don’t pay enhanced maternity pay so some mothers may just be entitled to the statutory pay of £183 a week
So the minimum requirement for your work is 90% of your pay for 6 weeks and then the statutory pay for the remainder. Sometimes if you haven’t worked somewhere for long enough you won’t be able to get it. If you earn the average of £123 a week, been there long enough and you give the right notice for it, you’re eligible for it. If they cannot give it to you, they have to give you a SMP1 form explaining why you can’t have it. If you can’t, have a look at ‘Maternity Allowance’ instead on the gov website xxx you can apply for that instead
Thankyou so much everyone ! Xx
