Shit has hit the fan so I’m here to over share

Today we will be officially starting my kids on anti psychotic medication. Last night was a very terrible night and I had to explain to my neighbours that my son was screaming because he was tired and not attached to reality. I could cry and throw up. This stress is unreal. We are going to work on sound proofing a room in our house. Suggestions appreciated. Thank you.

I’m so sorry to hear you are dealing with something so big over there. I’ve been dealing with some mental health issues with my son all of a sudden and can relate to being so sick with worry and stress. It’s a horrible feeling when you can’t console your child

Really sorry to hear you’re going through this.

I am so sorry. You're doing such a good job. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia at 13. I am very thankful I started anti psychotics when I did. I can't imagine the situation you are on, but you aren't sitting you care and your talking action. That speaks mountains. I appreciate you getting your son help because it took a while for me to get help for myself. You are a good mom. I wish I had I mom like you.

I'm sending all of the supportive vibes. I can only imagine the overwhelm, exhaustion, and desperation that could cause. You have been so persistent in advocating for your kids and it is an enormous testament to how ceaselessly dedicated you are as their mother. You've been on such an arduous journey to get them the care they need, and I hope their medication is effective and as beneficial as possible. So many others would have given up, and you are still determined. I am celebrating you for your resilience. I hope all of your lives are easier and healthier with these changes.

It's important for a growing brain to have rest. Hopefully those medications can allow him to find some inner peace. I've witnessed several cases of adolescent psychosis and it's a tricky thing but getting professional help is the kindest option.

Hi, what a stressful time! All my children are diagnosed with autism so I get how stressful it can be dealing with mental health, hallucinations, sensory issues, behavioural issues..🤔 and everything else 😅. it's a lot. Are your children diagnosed with something? I'm assuming that this decision has not been taken lightly. I have always been against medication for my kids behaviour. But equally I don't judge parents who do because I think each parent in most cases knows what's best for their child. X

@Laura both are autistic with global developmental delays and some sort of behavioural thing I never remember the name of. Unfortunately without medication they don’t sleep and without sleep they hurt me and themselves. All other interventions haven’t been successful yet

@Zainab🗝️ That's got to be so hard. It seems like your doing absolutely everything you can. Hopefully this new medication helps. ❤️

I'm so sorry you are going through this 🩵 It must be so insanely stressful, not to mention hard to see your sons go through it.🤍

I hope they start sleeping so that YOU can start sleeping too! Sending good vibes your way
