Any Xonvea success stories?

I’m currently 19 weeks pregnant, second HG pregnancy. I started taking Ondansetron at 5 weeks pregnant, then also added metaclopromide at 9 weeks pregnant. Whilst these have helped control the vomiting (I was being sick 10+ times a day, now maybe twice a week) I still feel nauseous all day every day and am struggling to eat anything because of such bad food aversions. Midwife suggested moving to Xonvea after she found I was dehydrated. Has anyone found it to be more effective than Ondansetron and Metaclopromide?

I love Xonvea, but can only say it worked better than cyclizine, promethazine and Prochlorperazine for me. I never took Ondansetron.

Xonvea was absolutely amazing for me, takes a few days to kick in though, i was taking that and cyclizine in combination as was the only thing that worked for me

Xonvea has worked really well for me. I’ve had some days here and there where I’ve been dry retching or been a little sick but I’d say it’s been the most effective and I have my appetite back. I was previously on cyclezine and tried metaclopromide but Xonvea seems to work best for me and has the least side effects

And yes more effective for me than the ones you've mentioned, as i tried them all at the time!

I am 9 weeks pregnant and have been taking xonvea for a week and I’d say it’s worth a shot. I am very drowsy on it but it is managing my nausea far better that the prochloperizine I was taking. Pregnancy sickness support highlights xonvea can be very effective alongside odansetron. I take two tablet at night but you can take up to four a day. I find come 1900/2000pm before take then next dose my nausea is very prominent again. Good luck

I tried cyclizine and ondansetron … cyclizine worked for a while and ondansetron didn’t work for me at all. I’ve now been on xonvea for a few weeks and it’s the best I’ve felt my whole pregnancy. Would definitely recommend trying it x

Xonvea absolutely changed my life and saved me through my pregnancy. I tried between 6-8 different treatments, including all the ones which have been mentioned above and none of them worked. I had relentless nausea 24/7 and could barely be awake without crying let alone eating something, I even thought about terminating because of it. Xonvea has made it so much more manageable, I’m actually able to eat and get on with my day. It’s also the only one specifically formulated for pregnancy sickness unlike the others so I highly recommend trying it.

I also had 2 HG pregnancies and the only combination that worked for me was ondansetron and cyclizine together. I hope you find some relief from it soon x

Yes Xonvea has been great for me. Currently 25weeks and still taking. Alongside ondansetron and prochlorperazine. I’m still taking all 3

@Precious it’s new on the market and quite expensive so some GPs won’t know about it or will be reluctant to prescribe it but you can definitely request it. I had to specifically ask for it too. The below has some useful info on it - click on ‘first line medications’ : https://pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/get-help/treatments/

@Precious - my GP also refused this to me at first when I asked for it! But my midwife wrote them a letter and now they have prescribed it.

@Precious good luck - hopefully it’s an easy process and works as well for you as it has for me and the others :)
