Baby screaming at dad

Hi, My 5 month old recently started thing new routine of screaming bloody murder if her dad tries to put her to bed. It’s awful- worse scream than when she got her vaccines. I know it’s most likely a phase and babies go through many phases of having a preferred parent, but what do we do in the mean time?? Do I just ride it out and do bedtime every night until this passes? Ugh 😩
