Sleep

Hi All, so this is not a brag at all I'm just trying to see if other people's babies do the same? My girl is 10 weeks old now and sleeping well from about 10pm to 7am with a feed at midnight usually. But she will wake at 7, feed and then go back to sleep till like 10am. Is this normal. Should she still be sleeping this much? She wakes during the day and is active. I just worry she's sleeping too much in the morning?

Our little girl usually does a 10pm/12pm and then 5am feed and will go straight back down, sometimes until 9am after this feed. It seems to be working and not affecting anything so we’re just rolling with it x

Mine is doing 10pm to 5am. I think he'd do longer if he wasn't moving to the top of the moses basket and bumping his head. He then does a 2 hour nap after that. At that point its too bright for him to sleep.

Mine does 10pm to 5/6am too, with a 2am feed, but he goes straight back down. He doesn't sleep much in the day, though, unless it's a contact nap. He has definite fomo going on.

We're doing pretty much exactly this, a feed around 9/10pm, a feed around 12/1am and then she'll sleep until 8/9am and when I feed her in the morning she goes straight back to sleep for an hour or two x

Last night my daughter had a bottle at 7:30pm and slept until 5am and had a bottle then slept till 7am. But most nights she’ll have a bottle between 9/10am and sleep until 3/4am and sleep until 6am x

Pretty much the same as us, he has a bottle about 10/11 then usually sleeps until 6am, will give him a bottle and he’ll go back to sleep until about 10am, it’s a blessing really but I was worried when he first started doing it but he’s usually awake most of the day so I guess he gets most of his sleep at night x

Both of mine did and do that. I just take the win. My eldest dropped all her naps early, so the extra sleep was made up for later down the line 🤣

Amazing thanks guys xx

My girl is 6 weeks and sleeps from 10.30/11, wakes at 2.30 and goes back down until 6am then sleeps again after her feed x

LG 9 weeks, bottle at 7:45pm and slept round until 4:30am. Back asleep at 5am and woke up at 8:45am. She normally does a long stretch in the night then a 3/4hr sleep early hours of the morning. So I wouldn't say she's sleeping too much. My LG now will be active and still have her 4/5 naps a day x

So glad you asked this! My little one seems to want to sleep straight after his 6am morning feed too and I wasn’t sure if that was ok. Tbf my mum said all her babies slept 12hrs (6pm-6am with midnight feeds) so 10pm to 10am is 12 hrs.

@Holly did you dream feed her during a long sleep?

Mine does similar and is 10 weeks old. Falls asleep at 9ish She has a feed at 10pm then 4 to 5am, then sleeps till 10ish in the morning

@Shruti I do that 💓I would dream feed normally.

@Shruti no, I did at first but around week 8 I stopped as she could go 8 hours without a feed and would feed better at the next wake without the dream feed + the dream feed didn't extend the time she was asleep randomly 🤷‍♂️ I think she's actually just waking at dawn regardless at the moment and I should probably put some blackouts up to help with that 😅 With my first we dream fed til 10 months and it really helped her, so it is a bit of experimentation I think 😅 x
