Night Feeds 😴

How long is everyone going between feeds during the night? Baby is one month old now and since he was born we've been waking every 2-3 hours to feed. However lately during the nights he is so sleepy it's hard to get him awake and eating much. Do I let him sleep a little longer? He has gained almost two lbs. this month so weight gain isn't an issue anymore.

My daughter is a month old now, and now she sleeps at night a little longer , but I let her sleep until she wakes up hungry , and it’s about 3-4 hours. Doctor said as long as baby is gaining weight you can let them eat when they’re hungry.

We are waking him 3 hours after every feed from the end of his previous feed time at night. Then during the day doing a lot more frequent feeds and he’s been gaining back weight just fine! Found that less frequent wakings at night are making everyone so much happier 😅

We let my daughter sleep until she wakes up hungry at night. She’s been gaining weight and she eats plenty when she’s awake. We do make sure she eats before bed though.

I used to wake my daughter every 3 hrs for feedings. Now I just let her sleep until she wakes up fussing for food and/or a diaper change. One time she ate at 7pm and woke up at 5am the next day for feedings. I was super worried but my doctor said it’s fine. She sleeps pretty well in general. As long as she’s properly gaining weight it’s fine, plus it’ll irritate your baby to constantly wake them up when they’re sound asleep. Strange enough, she wakes up on her own every 3-4 hrs thought the night anyway (usually twice). Makes everyone happier!

My son has 4oz bottles every 3-4 hrs during the day and then sleeps a 5 hr stretch at night from about 1am to 6am. He was 75th percentile for weight at his last appt.

I don't wake up babies at night. My current one is 3 weeks and she started sleeping through the night since day one.

I would ask pediatrician on this. At our 2 week he had already surpassed his birth weight so our pediatrician said we can let him sleep at night 4-5 hours. Our baby is big (he was 9 lbs 11 oz at the 2 weeks)

In the day she eates 3-4 hours at night she’s managing to go 6 hours before next feed! Xx
