REALLY struggling with weaning

I don’t know if it’s just me but I’m finding weaning incredibly stressful. My little one is very independent and has a big appetite but I’m finding meal times so so stressful I’m constantly terrified of him choking and I’m finding it so so difficult to find the time to prepare, present and clean up from meals due to all the mess and having a Velcro baby! Is anyone else finding this? I feel like I’m the only one…

Yes! I try to prepare something the day before for lunch so that I don’t have to try and stand and cook something then just pair it with fruit/ yoghurt something easy. Breakfast we share so if I have toast he has toast, I have Weetabix so does he etc again with some fruit or yogurt on the side that makes breakfast a bit easier. Dinners I try to batch cook on weekends for him or he just has a bit of what we’re having. I try and keep it as simple as possible, these fancy meals are lovely but I don’t always have the time in the day 😂 I find if I keep the meals quick to prepare I can distract baby in the high chair while I whack them together. The main thing is that baby is getting the food in, they really don’t care what it looks like so make it simple for yourself I say! x
