Where do people find the time to exercise?

I have a 13 w/o baby, and can’t seem to find the time or motivation to get moving. Partner works shifts and has always said “go do your workout whilst we play…” etc. but I always end up washing bottles or sorting clothes etc. maybe I’m just making excuses. Has anyone got a routine or suggestions??

I usually tend to it when my little ones are asleep at night so I know they won’t be awake at least for 4+ so after they have fallen asleep for the night Trust me I know it is tiring even doing 2 days a week is a win win tbh

Do you have any classes near you that allow you to bring your baby ? I run these classes in south London

I signed up to legs, bums and bubbas, most of her workouts are 15 minutes max. but she also has some 7 minute ones too. My youngest is 2 now and he joins in with me, plays or has a snack while I’m doing them. It was hard in the beginning but we got a routine going and its become easier.

I go to a baby fit class with my little one and my husband looks after him one evening for an hour so I can do another!

I'm currently going while my little ones are at nursery but I used to go at 4 am (my gym is 24/7) and be home by 6 am when our babies would wake up & my partner goes to work :) I think if you really want to , you find a way to do it. I've currently built up to 5x days a week and it's honestly keeping so much healthier mentally.

Walking is good exercise, take baby with you and walk everywhere you go. Also could try park run it's free. I'll be using a out and about sport with baby when she can hold head up properly

When baby goes bed at night, have a designated gym day, run with buggy or do shorter workouts when baby is awake.

I get up before my boys and work out in the mornings. I use YouTube so I don’t have to leave lol

I’m 10 pp and I try to take advantage of my mum still being here and helping me, so I go every day to the gym. But for me it’s super important and part of my identity, it was driving me crazy when I couldn’t exercise. My advise: find what makes you happy. You can exercise even with a baby; ie run with a pram, do squats or yoga with a baby

I can only find the motivation first thing in the morning, as the day goes on no chance! I either do it before my husband starts work (as he wfh) or when baby is having morning nap. Sometimes I just bring my weights down and do it in the kitchen with baby playing on his mat, if he gets fussy I use him as the weight which he enjoys 😆 Also have a running buggy which I don’t use as much as I should

So I go before my husband goes to work which is stupidly early but it’s the only time I get lol 5.30am I need to be at the gym

I live with my parents so it’s easier but when I put my 5 month old down for a nap I’ll go to the gym, it’s only a 5 min walk away, for an hour. I’ll watch the monitor on my phone and if she wakes up I’ll just message my mum/dad/brother to go get her and they’ll put her on her playmat till I get back. Normally lunchtime on weekends or if they wfh but if not I’ll go at like 9/10 when she’s asleep for the night. Some days I have no motivation like if she has a bad night but I just imagine how I feel after and the how happy I’ll be once I achieve my goals and it gets me there most of the time. I used to gym 4x a week and football 3x but now it’s just gym 3x, football once. Good luck xx

I go when Dad is playing with baby. The house just has to wait and it always gets done but I need my sanity by getting a run or gym in myself.

Thank you everyone for your comments and suggestions! I completed a workout this morning (4am 🥴) whilst baby slept and it feels great!

When he’s napping or I take him to a gym with kids care

Have a look and see if there are any mum and baby or postnatal fitness sessions near you. There are quite a few near me so that’s how I manage to work out

Also there may be some online ones too you could do at home

@Gemma What is this and how do I sign up? 🤔

@Tamsine her website is www.legsbumsandbubbas.com and she’s on instagram as kate_fitness.for.mums which gives a bit more info too. Once you sign up you’ll receive a link to the private fb group. It’s from £4.99 a month which gives access to all the workouts and I think it’s £6.99 a month for access to all the workouts all the recipes and calorie counter etc. I just pay for the workouts and it’s still worth it even without access to her recipes.

@Mickey where in SL do you do your classes?

Hi I do them in beckenham www.mwahfitness.com
