You shouldnāt be smoking at all while pregnant or breastfeeding
@Destiny Floyd she knows but ā¦. Sheās wanting advice because she is ā¦. So letās not do that
@Nia okay and that was my advice š¤ She asked if she should cut back when in reality she shouldnāt be smoking at all. I smoked every day for 5 years and quit as soon as I found out I was expecting its truly not that hard when itās the right thing to do.
@Destiny Floyd oh you a judgmental one .. nice itās not as easy as you think just because you did doesnāt mean someone else can ⦠your reasons for smoking isnāt hers we are all different try and remember we all aināt the same āŗļø
I exclusively breastfed and still smoked. My only advice is to use non tobacco products. I used tea wraps call āhigh teaā they can be purchased on Amazon
@Destiny Floyd im so glad that ur a medical professional and know what ur talking about⦠NOT! FYI medical professionals who practice where itās legal will suggest usage due to loss of appetite and nausea. MIND UR BUSINESS IF U DONT KNOW WHAT UR TALKING ABOUT. DONT BASH ANYONE CUZ IM PRETTY SURE UR NOT PERFECT AT ALL!
@Irene šÆšÆšš¾šš¾šš¾ well said
@Irene where did I say I was? Oh right I didnāt. She asked for opinions and I stated mine. If you look at any studies at all youāll see that marijuana usage in pregnancy is linked to all kinds of possible problems and if a doctor is recommending you smoke during pregnancy you should probably seek another. I live in a small town with the shittiest hospital and that was even the first thing they said was to quit smoking. Iāll link more articles for you to read though if youād like that list the dangers of it because like I said Iām not a medical professional just going off the studies Iāve read and stating my OPINION which she was asking for šš»
@Destiny Floyd if weāre being snippy letās be clear. She did ask for opinions and you sent study facts that based on your opinion are BIBLE truth - no room for interpretation. Fine. However, letās take into account that there arenāt enough studies to validly say one way or the other because no one is going to test on pregnant women on the off chance something is detrimental. But having little to no studies means that there is room for error and that some of the foundings are flawed. I have looked at several studies just looking at it women should drink coffee while pregnant that have the conclusion of No they shouldnāt but the conclusion was based on false evidence. So if youāre going to look at studies and take them as fact, make sure they are sound studies without errors and without false causation.
Doctors also say no alcohol whatsoever while pregnant but there are plenty of studies to show that itās really just making sure you use moderation
I almost exclusively breastfeed and still smoke. My child is growing wonderfully, surpassing some milestones, still working on others. My husband says every time I feel worried āI donāt think it effects himā
