I’m nearly 30 weeks with an anterior placenta and still have quiet days with baby (we’ve been in to get checked 4 times 😅), but my personal tricks to try get her moving: - going for a walk/being active (some say walking puts baby to sleep but I swear it’s the other way round for me!) - cold drinks or eating food - lying on my side - poking my belly 😂 I often feel her kicking when I’m sat on the sofa resting my phone hand on my bump - she also loves to kick when I start doing my pelvic floor squeezes every day!
@Sarah I have a higher anterior placenta. I feel him quite low usually. I’ve eaten a cookie and laid on my side. Now he’s going crazy! 🤪
I had this a few days after my 20 week scan so I went the hospital with reduced movement as I came out the hospital she was kicking away trying sweets or a Lucosade If I don’t feel her I lie on my side but I got told u only feel repetitive movements from 25 week I’m 28 now and feel her mostly all day xx
I had this right up until the end of my pregnancy with my son, he never developed a pattern and never had regular movements really. Would be very normal to not feel him for several hours despite my attempts to get him to move 🤦♀️ I understand the anxiety!! Occasionally, eating a sugary drink or snack and laying down would work, or having a little pole and trying to wake him up. He was a very lazy baby!
I just got back from the er because bubs movements have been super lazy over the last few days so I feel you. Apparently all is well. I hate it
Big drink of cold water, I also found my girl moved loads when I went for a bath! I went to triage for reduced movements once during my pregnancy and the midwife said if it happened again to lie on my left side for half an hour. Don’t have the tv on or look at your phone just try to relax as much as possible and sure enough my little girl started kicking like mad x
@Alicia thank you! X
