Tantrums
Hi mamma's, I know most of us have been dealing with tantrums these days, could you please share what you do. I know diverting them to another thing is a key. But sometimes they are so determined that they do not want to divert at all. That loud big cry with every no. What do you do? Time to change diapers, sit in a car seat, put on clothes, for every NO, there is a tantrum. It is so frustrating. Today my LO was upset because I didn't let her seat inside the fridge. She was there f9r like 3/4 minutes, then I asked her to come out so I could close the door. OMG she threw tantrum. I try to calm her didn't work, I opened the fridge again and let her be there for another minute. I am scared I am not promoting her tantrum. If they want something then do you give them? In this kinda situation. What you do so that it's polite and you are not promoting as well. Does giving them something they asked for promot it? Of course it's not gonna be harmful. Thanks for reading. I needed a place to share.
little ice cubes & baby bel cheese rounds always divert my little ones attention from the fridge or most tantrums in the kitchen. when i really want a good break from the crying i give her an organic juice popsicle thing bought from costco. we still have plenty tantrums and are all handled differently. when she’s hurt or being dramatic i get down on the ground and say “do you need a hug” and she’ll come running whining but the hug helps her feel secure. recently she’s enjoying playing with markers and scribbling on paper / today she scribbles on her face for fun so remain close but observe how entertained they are by the marker and cap. i like to draw simple stuff she knows and label them so she start to connect the word with them since she knows what the word means when spoken. she will color on it and we’ll come back to it and i’ll say “it’s A …“ she’s perfected the word Fish & Boat recently. we give our girl lots of breaks as in, she gets her way but in a manner that i can control
